Dear Flea Market Vendor,
The Kentucky Apple Festival will be held this year on October 3-5, 2024 in Paintsville, Kentucky. We would like to invite you to participate in the Flea Market. The Flea Market will be located in the Main Street City Parking Lot (Parking Lot #1), Upper Level Parking lot in the Main Street City parking lot (Parking Lot # 2), City Parking Lot # 3, and College Street between 2nd Street and Main Street. We will have electric hook-ups for most lots. If you need electric service, please indicate this on your registration form.
The Cost for Spaces will be as follows:
10 ft X 10 ft —$150.00
10 ft X 20 ft —$225.00
10 ft X 30 ft —$300.00
10 ft X 40 ft —$375.00
10 ft X 50 ft —$450.00
10 ft X 60 ft —$600.00
A $50.00 deposit must be paid along with your registration form. The rest of the balance must be paid by September 1st. No vendor, no matter what the circumstances, will be allowed into the festival unless they have complied with this September 1st deadline. If you have a reserved space, the balance must be in by this date or the space will be re assigned and no fees will be returned. Please review rules, banned items, and other set up information.
All fees must be in our hands by the September 1st deadline – no exceptions. Also, a registration table will be set up to pick up your permit
to operate your booth. You may register by sending a money order or certified check for the rental fee made payable to the Kentucky Apple Festival.

The Board of Directors have registered the festival name under The Federal
Trademark Laws, THEREFORE THE KENTUCKY APPLE FESTIVAL OF JOHNSON COUNTY, OR ANY PART THEREOF MAY NOT BE USED ON ANY MERCHANDISE SOLD WITHOUT THE WRITTEN CONSENT OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS.

Prohibited Items at the Kentucky Apple Festival
To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all festival attendees, please adhere to the following list of prohibited items. Vendors found selling these items will be required to cease operations immediately and leave the festival grounds. If you have any questions regarding the acceptability of an item, please contact us prior to displaying it.
- Fireworks of any kind
- Any obscene merchandise
- Bootlegged merchandise
- Exploding toilet seats
- Vanishing ink
- Party string
- Bomb bags
- Stink bombs
- Snap-n-pops
- Colored hair spray
- Laser lights
- Any type of martial arts supplies
- Knives or firearms; exceptions apply to collector’s knives such as UK Wildcat Collectors, Coal Miners Daughters, etc., which can only be sold to individuals aged 18 years or older (no minors).
- Balloons and inflatable items: These items must be sold by dealers franchised by the Board of Directors. Balloons and inflatable items are not to be given away as prizes. Exceptions include water-filled yo-yos, sports balls (e.g., basketballs, soccer balls), etc. Balloons provided to festival visitors by businesses or organizations free of charge for informational purposes are exempt from this rule.
- Potato guns
- Marshmallow guns
- Any live animals, reptiles, or snakes
- Slingshots or any kind of projectile
- Rubber bands
- Taser guns or related products
- Tobacco-related items or pipes of any type
- Items that could be considered or used as drug paraphernalia
Any vendor interested in bidding for the Balloon franchise should submit a written bid to the Board of Directors no later than two months after the conclusion of the festival. The franchise will be awarded to the successful bidder, who will then enter into a binding contract for the next festival.
