Non-Food Vendor Registration

Join one of the most anticipated traditions of the Kentucky Apple Festival in the heart of downtown Paintsville. Our Market brings thousands of festivalgoers through Main Street each year, creating a fantastic opportunity to showcase your products, connect with the community, and be part of a cherished fall tradition.

Please review all registration details, deadlines, permitted items, and festival rules before submitting your application. Non-food vendor spaces include the flea market, merchant mart, arts and crafts, and public service.

Vendor Locations

Where Booth Spaces Are Located

Vendor spaces are available in the following festival areas:

  • Main Street City Parking Lot — Parking Lot #1
  • Upper Level Main Street City Parking Lot — Parking Lot #2
  • City Parking Lot #3
  • College Street (between 2nd Street and Main Street)

Electric hook-ups are available for most spaces. If your booth requires electricity, please indicate this clearly on your registration form.

Registration Deadlines

Important Payment Information

A $50 deposit must be submitted with your registration form.

The remaining balance is due no later than September 1.

Please note:

  • No exceptions will be made after the September 1 deadline
  • Vendors who have not paid in full by this date will not be permitted to set up
  • Reserved spaces not paid in full by the deadline may be reassigned
  • No fees will be refunded

All fees must be received by September 1.

We strongly encourage vendors to review all rules, prohibited items, and setup information before submitting payment.

Permit Pickup

Booth Permit Information

A registration table will be set up during the festival for vendors to pick up their permit to operate their booth.

Please be sure all fees and paperwork have been completed prior to arrival.

Prohibited Items

Items Not Permitted at the Festival

To ensure a safe and family-friendly event, the following items are strictly prohibited.

Vendors found selling prohibited merchandise will be required to cease operations immediately and leave festival grounds.

  • Fireworks of any kind
  • Obscene merchandise
  • Bootlegged merchandise
  • Exploding toilet seats
  • Vanishing ink
  • Party string
  • Bomb bags
  • Stink bombs
  • Snap-n-pops
  • Colored hair spray
  • Laser lights
  • Martial arts supplies
  • Knives or firearms
    (collector’s knives may be sold only to individuals 18 and older)
  • Potato guns
  • Marshmallow guns
  • Live animals, reptiles, or snakes
  • Slingshots or projectile items
  • Rubber bands
  • Taser guns or related products
  • Tobacco-related items or pipes
  • Drug paraphernalia or related products
 
Balloon & Inflatable Policy

Special Franchise Requirement

Balloons and inflatable items may only be sold by dealers franchised by the Board of Directors.

These items may not be given away as prizes.

Exceptions include:

  • sports balls
  • water-filled yo-yos
  • informational giveaway balloons distributed by businesses or organizations

Interested vendors must submit a written bid no later than two months after the conclusion of the festival.

Trademark Notice

Festival Name Usage

The Kentucky Apple Festival name is protected under Federal Trademark Laws.

The name Kentucky Apple Festival of Johnson County, or any part thereof, may not be used on merchandise sold without written consent from the Board of Directors.
